My favourite breathtaking brisbane videography gig at the Hilton in Brisbane was the wedding of Sam and Massey. The symbolism of two family’s becoming one was evident throughout the event. Unfortunately, attention to detail in plans and the stressors of the day can often cause couples to forget how important it is. Samara and Massey were not one of these couples.
The entire day was about them and their families. Filled with heartfelt speeches and emotional moments that make for a wedding cinematographers dream. This came as no shock to me following my first meeting with the couple. In fact, I believe you would struggle to find a pair as family orientated, positive and in love.
Despite placing importance on the families, the wedding was as equally as stunning as the moments it produced; with every detail considered. Sam and Massey reveled in their Maori and Aboriginal cultures featuring a smoke ceremony, didgeridoo player and the haka, contrasted beautifully by more traditionally styled aspects. The most notable of which, was Samara herself in a gorgeous Roberto Cavalli gown, which she insisted upon. Sam made for a quintessential bride beaming with happiness which could only be matched by her new husband, Massey.
So thank you Sam and Massey, I feel privileged to have witnessed your cultural affair and am absolutely honoured to have been selected to produce the wedding videography for you.
