Below we have a behind the scenes video of an engagement shoot with photography Normy B. Before watching the video feel free to view our lovely couples pre wedding photos….
Couples Photography Brisbane
Engagement photography is very similar to couples photography yet our couples is obviously about to get married!!! Some of the most important things with couples photography is that our couples are wearing clothes that reflect their personality, blend in well with the skin tones, do not distract with very busy patterns or logos and match the overall mood and style of the shoot. For more information on what to wear please visit this page.
Engagement Photo Locations Brisbane
The most popular engagement photo locations in Brisbane are the Powerhouse and New Farm Park where this engagement shoot was photographed. Other popular locations are around the Eagle Street Peer and in the Botanical Gardens.
Most importantly with engagement photo locations, it should ideally be somewhere that has meaning to you. Perhaps where you first met or used to spend time together.
Some further ideas for locations are around the RNA Showgrounds there are a lot of wide open spaces and a lot of variety in the architecture. So this location could be of interest. Southbank is also a fantastic engagement photography location.
One thing we like to do on our engagement shoots is to start in the Botanical gardens, move through the QUT area and end up at South Bank. This give you by far the most diversity of backgrounds.
A cool thing to consider is to do something during the shoot. This can make the photography look more fun and natural. Some good ideas are to go up in the big wheel together with our photographer, to order some takeaway food or ice cream, to go on a boat or play some sort of game together.
The Engagement Photoshoot
Typically you either come to our studio to pick up or photographer and we then drive to the engagement photography locations together. In some cases we may meet you at the location yet that is less common because driving together makes it easier to communicate and spend some time together before the shoot.
Just remember, it is easy to get a bit nervous at the beginning of the shoot and the more time you have with your photographer before the shoot the more comfortable you will probably be because having fun conversation together is quite important as making the shoot about more than just taking the photos is quite important.
The engagement shoot typically would run for around 1 to 2 hours although this could also vary. In some cases where the locations are a little bit more remote and there is a special theme to the shoot the time needed for the engagement shoot could be more.
